A summary of the last eight weeks.

Since the middle of January 2009, my husband Sava and myself came to live in Timisoara, Romania. We have a really comfy small flat on the third floor in an apartment block in quite a central part of the city. Since our marriage last year in July, we have been praying for God to open up ways that we can help people and for this period of time, have chosen to stay in Romania.

It is now two months since I was home in Peterhead with my immediate family and it is the longest period that I have ever been away from home. I hear from them daily and so I am not very homesick and still feel quite excited to see what's in store for us here.

Already, we have had many oportunities to minister in different churches - most of which are almost the same with Praise & Worship & Ministry as New Hope Church, (which was my church since its inception many years ago now). The people here are kind and hospitable and we have felt very well accepted. Our circle of friends is growing all the time and Sava and I are trying to ensure we are busy in the work of God. Shortly we are launching a house group in our home with newly married couples so that should be fun. Pastor Lucian Chis who is the senior Pastor in Aletheia Church (where we are members ) has asked us to work with this group as well as Sava working weekly with the Youth Leaders on a course.

My romanian classes have started and I am also helping on Saturday evenings with an English
class that is held in the Church as an outreach. Someone has discovered I play an accordian and now I am trying to find songs that can be translated into Romanian so that we can sing together. Sava is preaching this weekend in Caransebes which is 100 km away from Timisoara, over one hour drive so that will be another opportunity to share God's love with the people there.

There is a meeting with foreigners who are now living in Timisoara tomorrow and I have been invited to attend. Laura (who teaches the English classes) is coming to pick me up.

On a personal level, Sava and I are doing well, keeping as fit as we can, and enjoying each other's company to the full.
